The fight card for UFC 166 is officially set, taking place Oct. 19 from the Toyota Center in Houston as Cain Velasquez squares off against Junior Dos Santos in the rubber match between the two fighters in a five round showdown for the UFC Heavyweight title in the evenings featured bout.
The heavyweights will also be on display in the co main event as Strikeforce Grand Prix Champion Daniel Cormier bids farewell to the division when he takes on the hard hitting Roy “Big Country” Nelson as he makes the move down to light-heavyweight.
The lighter weights will be in fine form as well when Gilbert “El Nino” Melendez looks to bounce back from a razor thin loss to then Lightweight champion Benson Henderson. Standing in the way of Melendez’s first victory inside the octagon will be ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ season 1 winner Diego Sanchez in what is an early candidate for fight of the night as both these fighters love to stand and bang!
